As part of the European 5G-MOBX project, the first tests of the 5G network were carried out on the cross-border road corridor between Valença and Vigo. The main objective is to evaluate the performance of this new generation in a scenario of frontiers between 5G operators and having as test applications the communications that support autonomous vehicles, with communications latency being the most demanding parameter. This project has 55 European partners, and FIT/ISEL is there under the responsibility of Professor António Serrador.
