The Lisbon Council City will install 41 new speed enforcement radars, through the acquisition of the 20 new devices, and replacing current ones. This acquisition aims to improve traffic safety in some spots in Lisbon and will allow the technological modernization of the equipment fleet and an increase in the statistical mobility information in the city. ISEL/FIT was responsible for drawing up the technical specifications of the system and preparing the technical clauses for the public tender. The proposal includes an evolution of the current SINCRO specification of ANSR (Portuguese National Road Safety Authority), also developed by ISEL and considered a reference, following the principles of open interfaces and standardisation.
